But instead Pete chooses to focus on his current station in life as one of Portland's many talented jazz musicians. He is an alumnus of several area big bands, including Border Patrol, the Art Abrams Swing Machine, and Keith Werner's Swing Revue. He also works as a sideman for nationally touring artists such as Steve March Torme, Mitch Woods & his Rocket 88's, and Hot Town Jubilee. Currently he is a member of the Lily Wilde Jumpin' Jubilee Orchestra. He also is the leader of his own octet, PorkPie, and a big band, The Northwest Express.
