This catalog of CDs is the first step in drawing international attention to the "hidden treasure" of jazz that exists in the Pacific Northwest. You can use the ARTIST INDEX to go directy to the artist of your choce or BROWSE the entire catalog.

The catalog's focus is on independently produced recordings from the region's great jazz musicians. Local Northwest labels are recording world class music of the highest quality. Traditionally, small labels have difficulty in promotion and distribution of their products. This is where the Jazz Society of Oregon comes in. Regular updates will appear here and in the JazzScene magazine as more discs are added.

Whenever available, from Jazzscene or other publications, brief reviews have been included. The absence of a review merely indicates our inability to acquire one.

Capri has agreed to provide selected CDs for inclusion in the catalog as well. Care has been taken to select those CDs believed to be of high interest in the Pacific Northwest.
