My name is Tim McCarthy. I cut my trad jazz teeth with Monte. I was 14 years old, playing tuba and eventually trombone on some of Monte's gigs. He and I were friends and I continued to play with him whenever I could get free time at the Horsebrass up until he passed on.

Any info would be appreciated.
