There are 2 jazz festival that sort of take the place of the Mt Hood jazz festival.
Pt Townsend (with kenny Barron) July 26-28 - search Pt Townsend and then look for Centrum Workshops or something like that. I have gone twice and it is great. You can stay at Ft Worden State Park if you get a reservaion in on time and you are on the sound and the grounds where the festival is held. Tickets for clubs with all the performers are available for 3 nights.
There is also a jazz festival at Sisters, Oregon. Go to sisterjazzfestival.com.
