My name is Tim Barrow and I’m a musician from Tigard, Oregon. I am writing on behalf of a music vision that I am in pursuit of. I am learning to play a rare electric string instrument called The Chapman stick. My goal is to become an accomplished player, playing different venues, exposing people to the Chapman stick, coming out with my own CD and at some point launching a music school.
At this point I am working with Mr. Stanley Washington who is my promoter to acquire sponsorship funds of 20k from people and organizations who will share in my dream of music. Currently I have the opportunity through correspondence via E-mail to attend the worlds first and only stick center in Barcelona Spain. The Stick Center offers ongoing instruction to teach people how to play the Chapman stick. By me attending instructional classes in Barcelona Spain will prepare me for one of my short-term goals of auditioning at the Rose Garden Arena this coming mid-September for one of the spots to play the national anthem at one of the home games for the professional basketball team “The Portland Trail Blazers” next season. I have also received a letter from the Blazer organization thanking me for my inquiry into the auditions. I would be more than happy to discuss this in more detail.
